Anyone notice on the new national release, if you use the fast forward button (at any speed) when you release the button the program jumps back 3 seconds instead of continuing at the point you stopped?

Or is it me?

Yes, this is a new feature, added to the software. It is termed "auto-correct". It tries to "auto-correct" your slowness in stopping the FF progress and adjust to where it "thought" you really wanted to FF to.

You can turn it on and off via the IMANEDGECUTTER hidden menu.

The latest update for the -700 was 0x17E. The date it was downloaded could be different for different parts of the country, since it was a staggered release. :)

Press menu-->search-->keyword-->type "IAMANEDGECUTTER"-->continue-->when it finds nothing press and hold the menu and info button on the front of the unit together for 2 seconds and let go. A hidden menu will pop up. If you need to get back into that menu down the road you will not need to do the search again. Just press the menu and info button together.

I'm baffled...when I get to that menu all I get are "autorecord" options.

No mention of "auto-correct"?! :(
