Well.... nothing terribly exciting here. He basically just had to deliver the receiver. I had everything already setup for him. It's a -100 btw.
He was really interested in the H21 and the SWM I'm lucky enough to be field testing. He even called up one of his co-workers. "yea, I'm at this guys house and he's got this and that. I'll take some pictures". I took some time to explain to him what i knew about the products the best I could. He actually stayed for about an hour just talkin'. He had heard of the the H21 and SWM but had never seen them. He was frustrated like RobertE about not having been able to have one to test.
Anyway, as much as these guys installers get hammered sometimes, and although this was just connecting a receiver, he seemed to be a really nice guy,clean cut, seemed to know his business. Good expereince. He even gave me his cell number.
Oh, he asked me how I ended up with the new toys. I explained how the CE came about and the "setup" thread and how it was reviewed by D* and that was part of the decision on who the participants were.
He had heard of DBStalk, but he said he frequented the "other" SAT site. I politely told him I had nothing against those folks over there (which of course I really don't), but it seemed the best and most current info came from here. :D
He said he may have to start visiting here more often. :) :p
