View Full Version : No HD access but still get RSN HD
Sorry if this issue has already been raised but I was wondering why I still get YesHD and SNY-HD but not my local HD channels when I removed the $9.99 HD access pack?
Don't you need the HD access pack on top of subscribing to the SD equivilent of a particular channel to get the HD version?

You will not get the RSNs in HD without the HD access fee (unltess you can pick them up OTA).

Yes you are suppose to have the HD access package to receive any HD channels from DIRECTV. I am not sure what the screwed up but they screwed up something if you are still receiving the HD version of the channel.

There are 2 622's...are you sure you're not just getting the SD 1 and you think it's HD?

I have HD access, but if I were to drop it I would no longer get my HD locals? I thought locals, HD or not, were part of my base package, including RSN's. I know I could get OTA, or would D* disable the tuner also? I don't intend to cancel, jsut curious.

I am positive that I am getting both SD and HD versions because in the guide like you said there are two 622's one that says YES SD one and another that says YESH which is the HD one. I have the H20-100 and most people know that it is riddled with software bugs. One other strange thing I have also noticed also is that unlike other recievers I have used from Directv the H20 seems to take a few days to actually change the programming when I add or remove channels. With other recievers the changes I made to my programming were pretty much instantaneous.
As far as what I was told my D* you do not need the HD [ackage to get locals in HD all you need is the locals package.
