View Full Version : Bug: Page down on search doesn't go to the end

I've seen this bug with all software versions my HR20-100 has had, so that's why I didn't post this in any specific software issues thread. I can reproduce this bug every time.

Do a title search (on Cold Case for example), then highlight the first show listed in the results, then use the page down button to scroll through all the results pages. In the lower left corner of the results area, you'll see both an up and down arrow indicating you are in the middle of the search results. As you get to the last page, you'll notice only the up arrow remains, indicating you are on the last page and cannot page down anymore.

This is where the bug exists: when you page down to the last page, you usually end up with the top show on that page highlighted in yellow. If you hit page down again to get to the last show on the page, the show description will change to that last show, but the yellow highlight bar will not move to the last show. You can then hit the up arrow on the navigation ring on the remote and then the second to last show will be highlighted in yellow along with the first show on that page being highlighted in yellow. So you have 2 shows highlighted in yellow on the last results (I wish I had some screen shots).

Now I know this is not mission critical to the functionality of the HR20, but I still thought I'd report it.

I have seen this intermittently on my HR20-700 since 10/06. It seems to be there with some versions not with others, meaning it's probably not really fixed, it just seems fixed because I reset the DVR.

I see that all the time but didn't really give it a second thought since I understand it and it's such a little deal.

Agreed - it's a little deal - which is why I said it wasn't mission critical in my original post, but still it's a bug.

I have this bug too. I think we have talked about it before. It appears to just be a screen index that is not being updated.

Maybe they do not know they have it.

I have an HR20-100 which is why I didn't post it in the -700 thread. And I've had this bug with all the software versions I've had on my -100, so that's why I didn't put it in the -100 0x017E issues thread.
