HP m8120n computer with Directv

I am thinking about purchasing this computer http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3440615& and would like to know if anyone out there has the same computer or one like it that supports windows media. Will it allow me to hook up my directv box to it and have the tv program change the channels on the directv box and record the programs for me. I know that the directv box has a dvr but i would like to divx some of the shows to cut down on the space and play them through my i-o data player.
