Has anyone tried the HDFury with the 211 or 622 HDMI outputs?
I have one but can't get it to work and it appears to be because of the receiver.

Any help would be appreciated.

Devices like this are not exactly legal in the US (and the HDFury people pretty much admit to this on their website). And even though it claims to remove HDCP (and be compliant with the HDCP license), it is not a licensed HDCP device.

That having been said, why not just use component out (with a component to RGB cable/adapter)?

Going from Component to VGA(RGB) also requires a (reverse) transcoder.

I thought that if I bought one transcoder and used a HDMI switcher for HD-DVD/Bluray and my 211 that would be more economical.

As it stands I have purchased another transcoder that does component to VGA, just to get a HD signal on my projector from the 211.

Dish has admitted that HDMI output is probably not synching to my device. It may be fixed in the future but I don't want to wait.

And, I don't believe the HDFury is an illegal device in this country.
