Today a member of the DVDTalk forums posted a scan of the Toys-R-Us circular from this coming Sunday's paper. SW Ep II is $9.99, limit 1 while supplies last.

Avoid the TRU chaos. Just get a copy of the circular and head to Wal-mart to price match.

Have fun :D

WOW! Best Buy will probably price match as well. I just PM'd the Sports Night box set with them on Wednesday from the Target circular that I d/led from the Target website.

I heard a TV critic say that SW II is the new gold standard for movies on DVD, and the audio is awesome.

We just went to see the IMAX version on Tuesday evening..... thankfully we have no more 'sound of music' picnic in the meadows nor Anakin's wet dream sequences. Lucas must have listened to the comments on the web and done a little editing! Definitely worth seeing in IMAX though.

And we'll be first (or thereabouts) in line at TRU or Best Buy on Tuesday.

Cari It probably has nothing to do with that. IMAX movies have a limit of 2 hours so they had to do some editing anyway since Episode 2 runs over 2 hours. You should have seen what they did to Apollo 13 (see this (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7792) thread for more info).

Picked up my copy on the way home this afternoon at Walmart for the marked price of $9.98. :D

Took my Toys R Us flyer to Circuit City, where they matched the price and beat it by 10%!

I paid $9.49 :D

Chris, I'm sure you know what you're talking about, but I'm just wondering - why would IMAX movies be limited to 2 hours? Is this just a business decision (as I suspect), or is there a technical reason? If so is it film size on the platter? If so, couldn't they just do a projector changeover (like in the old days of cinema before platter feed systems)?

It's a technical limitation of the platter feed system. Most IMAX films are less than 2 hours.

How long is the add good for? Is it a coupon?

Same for us as Eric.... we were last but one for the calendar! The guy behind us in the line at the register was purchasing the P&S version.... and glaring at us for managing to get the calendar!

I went to Toyr R Us today to get it. Didn't have any. I am going to go to Best Buy sometime this week and pick it up.

Good luck. Better hurry, and find a clueless cashier.

Word on the street is that when other merchants find out TRU has run out, they will no longer pricematch. It says on the flyers "while supplies last", so when TRU runs out, the sale ends.

Ya snooze, ya lose.

The Walmart I went to had the $9.98 price marked good through 11/16.

Really? I have to be up that way tomorrow. Guess I'll call and see if they have any left.
