Anyone record ER?

My !@#$$% 721 flaked and Jen is pissed. Anyone have a tape?

You REALLY shouldnt have to record the same show on all receivers to get one good copy!

We had this problem before. ER says its being recorded but its NOT there.

I rebooted yesterday so its not that.

Paying what we did for a 721 it should be reliable. It also records shows we didnt select. Thats a minor irritation. Easy to delete the stuff.

But ER is a MAJOR issue for Jen.

I'm recording ER right now on my DirecTiVo. Works fine :D

I can dump it to tape if you need it.

Ahh I REALLY dont understand. It was NOT listed on PVR. We watched the last 15 minutes. At the end of the show it popped up on the PVR list. Thankfully the entire show is there.

Make sure that you have the latest software update for the 721. You should have L1.04 which was just released.

On my system prior to the new software I was having the same kinds of problems you are reporting for programs that I set up for recording by pressing the "select" button while looking at the guide. If I set up the programs to record by pressing the "menu" button and then setting it up manually it worked fine. With the new software release it all seems to work now.

If you don't have the new release try turning the power off to the 721 and then on again and waiting for about 10 minutes.

I recorded ER fine on my PVR508 last night. (As a back up I also recorded it on the S-SVR in my BR.)

The only quirk is that for program info under "SELECTED EVENT" it says, "No program information available for this event."
