301 Receiver Problems Tonight?

Okay so I turn on my 301 receiver tonight and when I came back into the room it says it was "unable to dial". "Huh?" i thought.

I now see that it thinks I've not subscribed to any channels! Our PVR is still working fine...has anyone else had similar problems tonight?

Just called DN - it's a problem on their end. We should have our programming back in 3 hours. Awesome, just in time for me to sleep thru. :shrug:

Hmm...brings to mind a few possible questions for the tech forum next week :)

I've got a PVR508 and it seems to be having problems this morning. I find that the receiver seems to be acquiring satellite and at other times has the ERROR message saying its lost the satellite. I check the signal levels in the setup and 119 is definitely lower in signal strength than 110 or its normal level. Some transponders are dead others are weak and still others are popping in and out. Guess its time to make my first call to Dish to see whats going on. I was just curious if this is a local phenomenon or if it is widespread. By the way, I'm in the Houston area and the thing is acting like it does just before a big cloudburst only the sky is clear and it is beautiful out.

A couple of nights now I've had "lost signal" anomaly on all channels on my DP. This seems to happen, or at least come to my attention when I try to change channels late at night. When I go the channel setup screen, all channels are out. A 30 second switch check and 8 min. d/l has cleared up the problem both times.
