I am just curious if I should be getting any RSN HD channels.

I subscribe to Top 200 package with HD and Washington DC local package.
My dish is pointed to Sat 110, 119 and 61.5.
I am not seeing any channels in the 370 range. Thought the following channels
transmit from 61.5

Sun Sports - 372
FSN Florida -373
FSB Pittsburgh -378
SNY HD -388

Not seeing any of the above. Called Dish tech support..they dont know anything about these channels

Any thoughts ..comments?

Thanks

You're way out of range for SNY - here's a regional map for them:

I imagine the situation is similar for the other RSN's.

I know that there's a network called NAESN (?) and NAESN 2 that covers both the Orioles and the Nationals. I'm not sure if dish carries them but they do exist.

none of those are your RSN

you'd only see the your hd rsn if dish had it

The RSN's for DC are Comcast SportsNet-Mid Atlantic (I think that's the name) and MASN. I don't think MASN has a HD channel and E* doesn't offer CSN in HD at this time.

Yeah, MASN, MASN2, and CSN are our local RSNs here in the Balt/DC area. Like Gibbs said, there isn't a HD channel from MASN for anyone to carry, and while there is a CSN-HD channel, without the O's they really don't have any programs in HD to carry in the summer months.

I checked CSN-HD's web site a week or two ago and there were NO HD shows for all of June, and only a single MLS game in July. So its hard for us to yell to dish to get this channel. Although they likely could get the rights cheap now and wouldn't have to air anything until fall (with the exception of a MLS game once or twice a month).

Sorry to revive this thread but I'm seeing that CSN Mid-Atlantic is now up. BUT all I see all day is the Dish HD logo.

This weekend CSN in SD (channel 424) showed some Washington Capitals games and a Virginia Tech game, but there is nothing ever on the CSN HD version of the channel. Any ideas/suggestions?

Does this mean I am completely blacked out for all CSN in HD? I don't understand that? Is this an issue I should be calling Dish about?

Thanks in advance.

CSN MA HD will be carrying Caps and Wizards games in HD.

You can check the HD schedule here. The Caps have an HD game this Thursday
against the Isles.

The Wizards will have HD games starting next month. Generally Wizards home
games will be in HD.

Most RSNs have game only HD content. Some RSNs have pre and post game HD
talk content.

Ahh, so only some of the games are shown in hd? Not every game on CSN will be shown in HD? I guess thats where I was confused.

So on that capitals schedule I'm looking for "CSN-W (HD)" in the Local (H) column?

Thanks.

I don't understand why CSN-Mid Atlantic doesn't use the home team's HD feed when the Capitals are on the road instead of transmitting only SD. The HD home games look great.

Are all RSNs showing their teams' games in HD for home games only?

Not RSN related, but all hockey loving Dish Network HD subscribers should know that the NHL Network HD is on now, channel 403. The NHL games recap on now is not wide screen.

More or less all RSNs only show the home games in HD. However, there are exceptions. To show the away games in HD, the RSN needs an HD production studio. YES network has built one and provides all Yankee and Nets games home and away in HD. Maybe CSN MA will show the Caps at Flyers in HD. CSN Phila
this year did show the Phillies at Nationals games in HD. And they were not
using the MASN feed because it was SD.
