I was told by the wife when I got home last night that the HR20-100 was locked up all day on our local HD Fox channel. She tried to turn it off with the remote, the on/off switch on the front of the HR20 and she also unplugged the unit with no change. So when I got home I did an RBR and everything came back up fine but I didn't check the HD locals. I got a call this morning from her and now the local HD channels are not working. The SD locals are working but not the HD locals. I did try to get the HR20 networked last night but I don't believe anything I did along those lines would have affected the HD locals.Any ideas on why we have lost the HD locals after doing an RBR last night?

It's not unheard of with HR20-100s. A second reset will probably restore them. If possible, use the menus not the red button.

If not, try going to DIRECTV.com and reauthorizing.

Also, you might want to post your issue in the appropriate issues thread if you haven't already.

This is the first RBR I have had to perform since I got the HR20 a couple of months ago.I know there was a thread about NOT doing an RBR,but instead use the Menu to reset. It was really locked up.The wife got a little mad at me when I questioned her about how she even unplugged the HR20 and it still came back on locked up.I told her that was crazy that unplugging and plugging it back in should have done the trick. You know what comes next she said "so you think I'am lying about unpluggng it.I know what the cord looks like and where it plugs in the back". I tease her all the time about being Technically Challanged.

I have response from the remote now and will have the wife do a menu reset, but last night the RBR was the only choice as there was no response to the remote commands.

This happened to me this weekend. The HR20 was on standby at the time and I went to turn it on Sunday morning. No response from either the remote or the front panel.

I just unplugged it then plugged it back in. Seems to be ok so far.

Slight thread-jack: is it any better to unplug than RBR? Or are they pretty much the same thing?
