I currently have an component only HDTV and just bought a video processor in anticipation of a front projector. My question is can I use HDMI inputs to the video processor and output component or will copy protection interfere. I know on HDDVD I couldn't do this but does the HR20 or HR10 have copy protection (I have one of each).

THe HR20 does maintain programs with the broadcast flag, so if a show were to be broadcast with the flag, it would be copyprotected, and HDMI would fail to show the program. However, I have yet to see a program with the flag (bear in mind I don't purchase pay-per-view, which I believe are the only shows that use the flag. Sunday ticket and HBO both work fine.
