I was wondering if the latest upgrade added the feature of seeing a sneak preview of your recorded program while fast forwarding through a commercial. The HR10 -250 used to have this feature and I loved it. You could FF at high speed and right before the program was about to come on you would get a quick glimple and that was your cue to hit the play button. Can't remember the exact name of that feature but it seems to be happenning now on the HR20 -700. It allows you to not FF to far and then have to RW. Does anyone know if this is a new feature. Thx.

That is called Auto-Correction... It wasn't actually a "sneak preview"... it was the actual show... when you hit play... the system jumped back a bit, to bring you there.
And yes... the HR20 did get this feature in the last update.

That feature is usually referred to "FF compensation" or some such.
It was added to the HR20 as of the latest national release of the software.
On FF, it works essentially identically to how it works on TiVo products.
The HR20 implements this feature only on FF however. The TiVo products do this on REW as well.
EDIT: D'oh! I type too slow. And Earl got the feature name correct (which I mis-remembered): "Auto-Correction." :)

Thanks guys. I always liked that feature on the HR10 250. It's nice to be able to fly at high speed when FFWD'ing and then get a little cue as to when to stop so you don't run into your show. I don't care about not having in RW mode. Never occured to me. Thx.
