I have a PVR721 that I installed myself. Once I hooked it up everything was working great. Now... I can not tune a significant portion of my channels. It gives a lost lock message. If I go to point dish when I'm on a channel I can tune, most things seem to work fine. However, a number of transponders (both 110 and 119) will not stay locked (signal strength varies from 25-75). All other transponders will give a signal strength in the 90s (some as high as 98).
If I happen to go to point dish from a channel that I can not tune; it says that there is no signal on input 1.
Running check switch produces varied and inconsistant results. Some times it works exactly as one would expect and it finds both satellites on both inputs. Some times, it can't find anything on the second input. Most of the time, it can find both satellites on the first input. Some of the time, I get the message that you can not compare a Dish Pro switch to a Legacy switch. (All I have is a DishPRo LNB with built-in switch).
A call to Dish tech support said it was bad cabling, however, I have all RG6 and for testing even reduced the length to about 20 ft and bypassed the ground block. I have triple/quadrupled check all connections. Problem won't go away. I find it a little difficult to swallow the tech's answer considering that everything was working fine when I started.
Any ideas?
