We had a major storm here in Bay Area Thurs night. All channels on 148 now are gone and switch check does not see 148. Any ideas? I have been unable to get thru the busy signals at Dish.

Standard answer check cables and fittings for water, the other standard answer check dish alignment.

Is Dish customer service really over loaded right now? All I get is busy signals, or after getting past caller ID prompt, sent TO a busy signal!

Any other SF area people having a problem with 148? I hope so, as it would mean that my problem is with SAT, not my equip!

148 sats are there. Problem is at your location. Check to see no new trees blocking view. DISH May have gotten hit by debris and alignment may be needed, etc.

If it ever stops raining/blowing this weekend I'll get up there and see what it looks like.

Well, it was clear and dry this morning so I got up and checked things out. It seems that the dish mast has fallen over and the dish is pointed straight up. Glad to know it was just this and that a space walk will not be needed for dish to solve the problem!
