I just bought a new laptop from Dell which came with Vista Premium with Media Center. I'd like to record some kid shows onto DVD and know I can't do that with the HR20 like I did with my hacked DTivo I used to have. What would be the best way to start recording some of these shows onto DVD with my new laptop? Also, if possible, I'd like to know if I can record stuff in HD.
Thanks!

No way to record stuff in HiDef, unfortunately.
You can record your HR20's programs by connecting its SVideo or composite video and audio outputs to your PC's video capture hardware. If your laptop doesn't have a video capture card, you'll need to buy one. Use the included capture software to record your programs onto your PC's hard drive, then you can easily burn them to DVD. Note that you can record your HR20's HiDef programs, they'll just be recorded as 480i standard definition, though.
