Looks like I have recieved all the updates to all the recievers that I have(20H20 and 1 D12). When I went to turn on the D12, all I was gettin was a nessage that the recieve is starting up, then it says "almost there. Few seconds more". This happens several times and then it gets to splash screen and message "searching for sat. signal. The rec. reboots itself even before it gets done (100%) several times, and then will finally finish , at which time reg programing will come on. After about 30 seconds, the rec. will again start the reboot process. I have unpluged both power cord and sat cable, hit reset button , but nothing works. before I call DTV, anyone have any idea what might be the problem and how to fix myself? Thanks for your help.

I don't think this is something you can fix yourself. It needs to be replaced.

First, try to force a software download. I have seen this fix the problem on a few occasions.

To force the download, when it reboots and is on the "Welcome, your receiver is powering up" screen, aim the remote at it and press 02468. Only press the code once. Then it should start downloading the new software just after the "Almost there" screen.

If that doesn't fix it, then call D*.
