This weekend I got wired at my house in Miami. I took my 322 from the house in Jacksonville and all is good except how do I get the Miami locals through my 322? Doesn't it have the ability to search like the 622?

Are you talking about Dish supplied or OTA? If via Dish, you have to call them, if OTA: The 322 does not have OTA capacity (this feature is only on HD receivers). You should be able to use tv search for the analog locals. You cannot get HD locals unless you are using an HD tv with a digital tuner.

From what I understand to get the dish ota I would have to call and "move" but I don't want to do that because I am only there once a month for a weekend. Do I need to hook up an external antennae and use it?

Dish and OTA are two different things, OTA = Over The Air and is only available by mounting an antenna (not dish) to get them free of charge in the area you are in (not from area you would want them from). Calling Dish to 'move' will not change what you can get in your area.

And as already stated, you cannot hook an OTA antenna to a 322 receiver. So you would have to get Dish supplied locals via satellite on that receiver, if you want them.

If the 322 is anything like a 301 when you turn the 301 off, it passes OTA through the unit to your TV's tuner. If you use an RF connection from the 322 to the TV, try just turning the 322 off and see if the TV can see stations with its own tuner.

Thanks, That's what I was looking for. I have to actually turn off the 322. I had the antennae hooked up to the back but things didn't look right until I turned the 322 off.

You can also hit the TV/Video button while in SAT mode to do this, w/out having to shut down the receiver. ;) ;)

Do you pick up the jax locas in jax? I was just wondering if the jax spotbeam reached that far south?
