i have the dish web player with out the key board i have the chance to buy a Philip's key board for a web key board are they compatible the ir frequency

The Philips keyboard works great with the dishplayer.

All Web TV Keyboards will work with the Dishplayer. The Dishplayer & WebTVs share the same IR frequency. This is because a Dishplayer is really a Web TV unit with a PVR, & satellite receiver in one box. :)
