I just moved into a home that is all wired up with RG59 and am thinking of getting Directv.
1. Is it possible to choose your installer? I had someone install a OTA antenna and thought he was pretty good. He also installs satellites. Can I request Directv to setup an appointment with him? I'm not sure if he's affiliated with directv.
2. If I can't choose my installer, can I have directv just leave the equipment? Any more do-it-yourself kits?
3. If I do decide to do it myself, should I run two RG6's to each room (this may not be possible). Can the HD DVR record two channels at once from a single RG6?
4. How would a dtv tech install in a house prewired with rg59? Would they run new cable through the wall or tack it outside and drill it into rooms?
Thanks!
