How do I get my dish 1000 to work with my 6000 receiver? Its only getting the odd polarity for 119 and 110. Its not showing 129 at all.

Its working fine with the 301

Is the 301 on port 1 and 6000 on port 2 of the DPP Twin?

Dish 1000 is Dishpro - 6000 is not.

301 is Dishpro.

No I only hooked up the 6000 to port 1.

I will try to hook up the 301 to port 1 and the 6000 to port 2 and see what happens.

Any receiver ending with x000 is not compatable with dish pro plus

Any receiver ending with x000 is not compatable with dish pro plusWhere did you dig up this erroneous information? Dish Pro dosen't work with Legacy, Dish Pro PLUS does work with Legacy as long as a Dish Pro receiver is on port 1.:)

Its true that Leg. receivers that end in 000, won't work right with DPP lnbs or switches.

DISH Pro Plus Technology
It takes 3!

DISH Pro Plus technology improves upon DISH Pro technology with several enhancements. DPP technology simplifies installations, saving both time and money, and provides valuable tools for troubleshooting problems. Features of DISH Pro Plus technology include:
DISH Pro technology
No need for DISH Pro / Legacy Adapters for Legacy receivers
Single cable install for DISH Pro Plus receivers with DISH Pro Plus Separator
DPP Key Points:
It takes 3! for a single cable install for DPP receivers. (DPP Switch or LNBF, DPP Separator, DPP Receiver)
DISH Pro Plus receivers are dual-tuner receivers.
DISH Pro and DISH Pro Plus receivers must be installed within 200 feet of the furthest LNBF.
All Legacy receivers display the switch as SW-64.
Legacy receivers with FSS support (2800, 3900, 4900, 6000 models) will see SuperDISH satellite feeds (105, 121).
Legacy receivers without FSS support (1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, IRR, 71/7200 models) will not support SuperDISH satellite feeds (105, 121). Because of this, the SuperDISH feed should be connected to port 4 on the switch for a clean install and to not confuse the receiver.
Legacy receivers must be installed within 150 feet from the furthest LNBF.
You cannot connect two single-tuner receivers with DPP Separators.
The switch power inserter installs between the DPP Separator and the switch when connecting to a dual-tuner installation and powered switch.

I would like to know if any Tech has tried this in the last month. About 3 weeks ago I had a 500 upgrade, the customer had a 4000 receiver and it did NOT support a DPP!!

Im installing this way since the DPP came out , but notice that if you hav 1 legacy receiver will need one DP or DPP receiver connected to port 1 on the DPP LNB or
2 legacy receivers will work with no problem.

Guess I'm just not lucky enough to have more than one legacy receiver on an upgrade.
