DVR tuner 2 toast i think

My SD DVR just started flashing searching for signal ,blah blah, you know what it is just out of the blue.

My other HD DVR is fine, 90's all along the transponders and all good, tuner 1 on this problem DVR is fine, but the tuner two gets every even transponder.

I tried switching the coax to see if that was the prob but with either cable it still craps out on tuner 2.

CSR sending out a new box should be here in a couple days, hope that fixes it, anyone else hear of this? Is this the TUNER 2 issue?

Just had this two days ago on my r15-300. Was recording a channel and went to switch and it ask if I wanted to cancel the recording before changing. I said no and let it finish. After it was done I checked the levels and tuner 2 was all 0's. I did a Menu Reset and everything was fine. Same levels on both tuners. So I wrote it off as a hiccup.

I've reset everything a million times, is a menu reset any diff than just unplugging it and plugging it back in?

Yes, it is easier on the machine to do a menu reset, and minimizes possible recorded program loss. if it doesn't work, then try a red button reset. if it doesn't work, then pull the plug for several minutes and reinsert.

Just had this happen on my HR 20 tonight. Did a reboot of the box from the menu and it is working fine again.
