721 stops playback when it stops recording

My 721 is great except that if I begin to watch a program before it is completely recorded (i.e. while it is still being recorded), the machine stops my playback when it stops recording that particular program, and I must then go to the PVR menu, choose the show, begin playing it from the very beginning, and fast forward or skip to the point I was at when the recording stopped.  Is this a common occurrence?  Is it considered a bug?  Is there a fix?  Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but the tech people at DISH didn't seem to understand the problem at all.

It is a well-documented bug we call kicked to live. It was a problem with the 501 that was fixed. Now they have the same problem with the 721. They are supposed to be working on it. I feel it is the most irritating problem with the 721.

This will be fixed in L1.05. The big question is when we see L1.05 :) Hopefully we find out more tonight on the Tech Chat.
