I know, I know many of you turned off the Tivo sound effects anyway. But, I personally like the bloop bloop fast-forwarding on my old Tivo. I also know that the HR20 has its one embarrassing sounding thud. I have two questions.

First, couldn't the HR20 have a better sound effect than the "Thud." Maybe something a little more fun. Maybe Daloop, Baling. I don't know, something better than "Thud."

Second, How hard would it be to enable fast-forward sound effects?

Also, I know that missed recordings, VOD, RBR are more important. But, sometimes throwing us a easily fixed bone is worth while.

Not particularly enthused with the TiVo sound, or their cartoon graphics......but how 'bout John Lee Hooker "boom boom boom"

Is this REALLY that important? You are right there when you set up or get the box to fast forwrd, reverse or whatever.

I have the sound effects on, but as much as possible, I watch HD stuff with Dolby Digital on so I don't hear them anyway. Not a huge fan of them and I would probably turn them off if I heard them more often.

This would be applied at the end of September as an update....

My wife and I have a little game where we playfully punch whichever of the two of us accidentally make the HR20 generate the "Bloop" sound.

Just a thought for those long winter nights ahead.

We want our Bloop back!

It is a verb at our house. You yell, "Bloop" when the person with the clicker does not react quickly enough at the commercials.

Bloop is life.

Yeah, we used to do that, go "boo-boop,boo-BOOP,BOO-BOOP" while making the hand motions of pushing a button. Now we still make the hand signals with no booping.

It would be VERY VERY low on my punchlist but wouldn't it be cool if you could choose an audio file from your shared media for your sound effect?

Imagine the games that could be played with "one boubon, one scotch, one beer" loaded onto your HR20.
