I need an R10 remote

not sure where to post this, but my R10 remote was broken and I need a new remote. if anyone can help me out, please PM me.

You can order a new remote by calling D* or going to their website. They're all basically the same design, but a remote ordered from D* now will have bigger buttons and a larger database of device codes than the original remote that came with your R10.

The original remote for the R10 is a tivo peanut remote. The only remotes you can get from directv are the white remotes.

Yea I see that, I do not want to pay 25 bucks though for the remote. Wanted to see if anyone had one sitting around that they don't use anymore

Sipping the TiVo kool aid is okay as long as you do it in moderation and don't bathe in it (I still swear by them for my family members that have cable).

Weaknees probably still sells them but I'd say try eBay. I think that pretty much any TiVo remote will be cool for you.

Also, if you're not completely sold on the remote's form factor, there are dozens of universal remotes that support the R10 right out of the box. Just look for one that says it supports TiVo.

My R10 just went out also. D* sent me an R64. works the same as the peanut one.

You can use any white DIRECTV remote for TiVo but I personally think there are better universal remotes out there.
