I just bought an RCA model with Wink Interactive. All I can say is ugh! I miss my Hughes! Too much stuff on the screen and too many buttons on the remote :(

Becides instant weather I see little use for interactive. Of the regular channels I get in my packages, Bloomberg (all the time), Oxygen (all the time), and FOX (primetime) are supposed to be interactive. Bloomberg interactive works after waiting for about 10 minutes, Oxygen is supposed to be interactive I've never seen anything interactive, and I've never seen anything interactive on FOX during primetime. Also in the EPG it says DIY is interactive, but I have failed to find anything there either.

Has anyone ever seen anything interactive on Oxygen or FOX?

I haven't. The only think I ever use Wink for is local weather, and then only when I can stand to go into my daughter's room (that is where the RCA 420 has been relegated). You can also buy CD's from MusicChoice using Wink. I know there are several music channels (828 - Today's Country, for example) that have purchase option available.

I only use WINK for local weather and ESPN. Getting scores whenever you want is cool.

Hmm...Bloomberg for me pops right up and lists all the favorite stocks I've stored. What model receiver do you have?

I have FOX E&W, the east feed never seems to work but the west does, it has scores, news and schedules.
Oxygen works but it only has schedules and the online schedule.
Bloomberg works takes about 30 seconds.
On the RG series, if you pull up the guide and move the (colored cursor) over the channel name and # instead of the show name and scroll , the wink i appears on certain channels, not all of these have wink, these are the channels that have wink capability on there commercials or specials.
heres the channels that have WINK.

wink is even much use for local weather either, just for the temp. i get it on channel 492 TWCi. I always keep wink disabled, i find it an annoyance. If i ever do turn it on, it goes right back OFF .

jamielee, my model number is DRD430RG. When I scroll over to the channel number DIY has the wink icon. Bloomberg is working better, but I've had Oxygen on for hours and never get the wink icon, I've even tried pushing the OK(i) button during a program and nothing happens.

Okay, I think I get it now. CBS and FOX are only interactive if you have the E/W nets. The DTVi channel should say CBS and FOX in some areas not just * FOX(primetime).

I only have Locals,Family,Limited. Besides the (i) channels, Bloomberg and Oxygen are the only channels I get with wink (I guess since DIY shows the icon in the guide it will have something at some point).

It's like DCSholtis stated above, the channels that have the (i) are not 24/7 for some it's just the comercials (you know the things we try to avoid) at least I do. And sometimes it's just certain programs. Just my $.02, I could be wrong.

I used to use it for CNN's interactive content, but not anymore. I have three receivers (one TiVo, one UTV, one DRD430RG for my PC) and only the 430 has Wink. The Wink is kinda useless to me tho cause the 430 is connected to my PC thru the TV card.
