4900 receiver freezing

I have a 4900 receiver from the early 2000's.
I've been having problems lately with the receiver freezing on movies - especially fast paced movies. For example, while watching Pirates of the Caribbean, the video freezes for a couple of seconds during the movie.

Any ideas on how to fix the problem? I believe it has the latest firmware from Dish.

Any word if Dish will have to replace old MPEG-2 receivers with MPEG-4 receivers anytime soon?

Are there any deals for long standing old customers to upgrade hardware?

Call 800-333-3474 and ask what you are eligible for on upgrades. Yes MPEG 2 receivers will have to be replaced, but not in the near future.
