Showtime said that it has given a green light to a new series called "Earthlings" (tentative title), which is to be co-produced by MGM.

The series includes a two-hour premiere plus 13 episodes and is slated to begin airing on Showtime this summer. The one-hour drama series will feature an ensemble cast, including Jennifer Beals, Scott Bairstow, Erin Daniels, Leisha Hailey, Laurel Hollomon, Mia Kirshner, Karina Lombard, Katherine Moenning and Pam Grier.

The series pilot was written by Ilene Chaiken who also serves as executive producer. Also serving as executive producers are Steve Golin and Larry Kennar.

Alot of If I will watch it will depend on how they handle Jeremiah (is Oddysey 5 still on the air?). If they screw up giving that proper presentation to Jeremiah (as it now has a following) than any series they air is just waiting to be lost somewhere on the channel that requires a PVR search to find. (Rude Awakening, Beggars and Choosers, Twilight Zone, etc) would move around the evening or weekly shcedule and you'd never find it without a PVR to hunt it down.
