Local word here in Huntington is, the Miami coaches trashed the coaches room after they destroyed the headsets on national TV...

There is never any justification for what the coaches did in trashing the coaches box and the person(s) involved should be heavily penalized.

That having been said, I watched the game last night on ESPN and the Miami team was royally victimized by the two absurd pass interference calls on the final drive that enabled Marshall to score the game winning TD. I live in West Virginia and am a big Marshall fan but, Miami deserved the victory. The zebras seemed determined to give Marshall as much help as they needed to win. Miami was robbed of a well deserved victory.

It's too bad we aren't all spending our time talking about what a great game that was last night, but instead talking about immature behavior by what are supposed to be grown men. It is time we (all of us) stop defending this kind of behavior as just emotions running high or heat of the moment incidents. This crap is happening at all levels, and it is being excused because it happened during a game. Yes, folks, this is still just a game. What would happen to any of us if we acted this way at our jobs? We would be fired on the spot. But, sports has become so important that we excuse stupid behavior in it's name. I am tired of it. Yes, I love sports. Really, what example are we setting.I even read where the announcer was saying the coach was right for being so mad. WOW...does this give me the right to act like a baby at any time and any place someone does something I don't like? Can I throw things and cry and tear up rooms and punch people because something may not have gone my way? This is sad and pathetic. Sports should be fun and should be something to do for recreation. However, our society has turned it into something important. We look at other countries where people are being killed and beaten because of religious or political beliefs and are offended...however, we understand how someone could be beaten or killed here because of a football game. Let's quit all the talk about this was excusable because it was in the heat of the moment. It's not alright. These coaches are placed in positions of leading and teaching our young people. What are they learning? This does not begin with what happened last night, and sadly it won't end there either, until we stand up and say it is not alright for this to happen because of a sporting event. These coaches should be fired, arrested, and then taken somewhere for help and counseling. They are not well. And, it's not just these, but any person who becomes this outraged and violent over a little game. Please folks...let's be real...this is ridiculous and we all need to quit excusing it and treat is like the serious problem it really is.

Some are complaining about fans on the field after game but that is pretty darn common especially after a close game which decides conference playoffs.
About the pass interference, the defensive player was pushing before the ball go to them, not right at point of catch.

At Northern Illinois U, they have a big drum and bugle corp. coontest with bands from all over the US coming in and performing. Last year, an assistant football coach told a band that was practicing to get off his field, he wanted to use it for an inpromptu practice session. After being told that the Band had the field reserved the coach got mad and ordered his players to run across the field - several band members were injured along with some damaged instruments.

This coach was fired - no accounting for stupidity.
