Toshiba licenses TiVo technology

Looks like TiVo has another company licensing their technology, this in addition to their deals with Sony and DirecTV.

A U.S. subsidiary of Toshiba has licensed recording technology from TiVo and hopes to have products using it available by holiday season 2003.

I can see echostar having a bad taste in their mouth from the MS partnership. But everyone who partners with MS gets bullied IMHO, you figure they would know who would treat them better than MS.
