Antenna Details:
Two Terks with combiner in Attic installation.
then Split to two ATSC tuners - one Vip622 and a Samsung TV.
Receiver Details:
Local mapping set to HD Only.
Details:
In my area, I am not seeing PBS (19-01) on my Vip622 receiver.
At my location in the KC area the antenna farms are located in two distinct areas. A single Terk antenna receives either one fine but it is too selective to receive both so I combined two Terks and everythings fine except with my Vip622. My other ATSC TV's get 19-01 fine. Once in a blue moon the 622 does get a signal/lock @ ~60% and the reception is fine without stutter or any other problems. I'm thinking that this is an issue with the 622 not being willing to work with a signal that is below 60% in signal strength. When in setup the 622 doesn't report any signal from 19-01 but finds all the other stations without problem.

The same thing happens to me, but I only have one antenna. I get 19-xx only on rare occassions. I get all of the rest of the KC channels.
Anyone have problems picking-up KCTV. I live in Louisburg (40 miles south from KCMO) and have never been able to pick it up. Does it have to do with it being transmitted on a VHF frequency? Neither my 622 or the tuner on my Sharp HDTV can get it. I don't have an outdoor antenna- just some rabbit ears that usually work fine. All the other locals come in great.

I live in Gardner and i had to put up an 8 bay antenna its more for UHF but for KCTV it works the best. I had a 4 bay up but it doesnt quite do the job i use to get it sometimes but not good.
If that doesnt work put an amp behind that 8 bay you wont have a bit of problems then. Guaranteed.

KCTV is transmitted on UHF channel 24. The only KC area DTV channel on VHF is KMBC-DT which is transmitted on VHF channel 7.

KMBC (ABC) 9 = RF 7
KTWU (PBS) 11 = RF 23 (Topeka)
WIBW (CBS) 13 = RF 44 (Topeka)
KTAJ (TBN) 16 = RF 21 (Analog St. Joseph, DTV Kansas City)
KCPT (PBS) 19 = RF 18
KSNT (NBC) 27 = RF 28 (Topeka)
KCWE (CW) 29 = RF 31
KMCI (IND) 38 = RF 36
KSHB (NBC) 41 = RF 42

Im sorry i was wrong. I was thinking you were talking about ABc not CBS. CBS is a strong one. I get a 95 with a channel master 4 bay antenna. YOu are further away. I would go with an 8 bay. Just that much better signal for bad weather days.

there is a link to an 8 bay. a 4 bay is just half of that.
Oops! My bad. I meant KMBC (ABC). Sorry. KCTV comes in great. KMBC not at all.

I can't get KQTV anymore. I tried hooking it up to the receiver and directly to the TV and the digital signal is gone. Analog is still there. Can you get the Digital signal?

I've never had it, I just looked it up on the FCC website.
