I have a question I hope someone can answer for me. I have a Dish Network 301 system. On all the even numbered transponders I get a signal strength of 102-111,but on all the odd numbered transponders I get no signal strength at all.
This is keeping me from watching several channels I like. This has been happening for about a month. I am using 119w. I am running three tv's on this dish. It does this on all three tv's. I changed out the multi switch but nothing changed.

Do you have 3 different 301s hooked to 3 different televisions that this is happening with? What kind of multiswitch do you have? Losing odd transponders usually means you have a bad cable from the dish to the switch, but not always. What results does a check switch give you?

I have one main receiver in the living room and two slave receivers in other rooms. When I run the test switch it comes back with different results each time I run it. Not sure on the switch.

Sounds like a bad cable or cables. If poor connectors are used, water can get in the cable and cause shorts, etc.

I agree - sounds like a cable connector problem. And the switch test should tell you what kind of switch you have.

Thanks for the info. I'll check the cables.

SW-64,SW-44 switches are used with 2 dual LNBFs on DISH 500 systems or Quads are one piece LNBFs with 4 "F" fittings. These are all the switches DISH uses for connecting more than 2 receivers to a single dish. When only odd or even channels are being received it is a voltage problem. The receivers put out 18 volts for one set of channels and 12 volts for the other. Bad cables or bad connecters are the most common reason for loss of voltage getting to the dish. Sometimes it is a LNBF problem or a switch problem.

I changed out the LBNF today and so far every thing is working fine. Thanks for the help.
