I'm a new directv customer and am having picture clarity problems. The installation company has come out and changed all the cables and verified the signal strength is at least 90%. The trouble is the picture is not crisp. It is very good in the middle and loses it's crispness as it goes to the perimeter. The receiver is a SAMSUNG SIR-S75. I also have a SIR-SR70 on a different TV that experiences the same problem. Is there something that you can think of that might be the cause of this? AllCom Digital is the installation company. Also I verified they are using the RG-9 cables up to the receivers from the RCA oval dish. There obviously is a splitter for the two lines and is properly grounded. The TVs are an older 25" Sharp and a two year old 27" Sony Wega system. I've plugged the receiver into the component video, s-video and standard RCA jacks and the quality is mostly the same (the RCA jacks actually look better). A DVD played on this system (WEGA) is fantastic and perfectly clear but the satellite picture is very disappointing so I'm thinking it is not the TVs problem. Any help is appreciated.
