I have the Denver locals(chs 4, 7 9, 31, 8200, 8201, 8202, and 8203) only and have been using my dish sytem(receiver is JVC 2700, single LNB using one coax outlet) in Colorado and New Mexico with no problems. We recently traveled to Billings, Mt and I received the channels. Now we are in Idaho(Stanley, Ketchum, and Mackay) and the locals do not show up on satellite 110. Dish support said the national network channels ABC CBS, NBC and Fox were not spotbeamed. They s/b on satellite 110 and transponder 22. We can get good signal strength on trans 22 but when we go to the guide it only shows e.g. ch 111 DIY 121 HIST1 207 CNBCW 307 HBO 400 TENIS 500 PPV 825 AZTCA 892 CNBCW 919 9601 9900. On the Sirius channel it say our smart card is not authorized for this channel. If I rotate the dish to the 119 location I get a good signal strength(green) +70 and I get the same channels as satellite 110 in the guide. I used a coax directly from the dish to the receiver to eliminate hardware problems(I ever tried another dish and coax cables). I have used this dish in numerous areas of the West with no problems until now. Is there some areas that would not receive the CONUS feeds like Denver locals on 110? Could this be a receiver problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Bob, I don't think the Denver locals are on CONUS transponders anymore. I think they went to a spotbeam last year or maybe 2 years ago now, in which case, you've probably travelled too far west out of the spotbeam area to pick up the signal.

On 110 & 119 spotbeams are below channel 11 no spotbeams are 11or higher.

Mark and boba-- thanks for the response. It was just 2 mos ago I pick-uped the Denver locals in Mt. I received them on 4, 7, 9, and 31.(also on 8200-8203). I see now that just the 8200-8203 are available without spotbeam. Could this be a receiver problem I am experienceing? Any other ideas?

On 110 & 119 spotbeams are below channel 11 no spotbeams are 11or higher.

That is what I'd memorized when E8 was used, but E10 changed that didn't it?

shows the four networks still on Conus 22, and all the rest of Denver on Spotbeam 12 (S30).

I didn't think the 2700 series did channel remapping - but I could be wrong... I traded mine in for a DVR510 a long time ago....
