Programme Guide

Am I correct in thinking that the Extended programme guide for the 501 is on transponder 29 at 110.

Reason for asking is that I cannot download guide information and am presuming that this is because transponder 29 is too weak to lock a signal at my location.

It is a shame that the 501 does not default back to the short guide if unable to download the extended guide. Is there any way I can make it do this?

They should stream a guide for each spotbeam to reduce the clutter. Anyone know exactly how much bandwidth this program uses? As slow as it is, I can't imagine it takes too much.

It would be a great idea to put the LIL program guide on the spots as mentioned by DarrellP above, but I bet the recievers have no way to handle it. Problem now is that they are carrying 500 extra LIL channels and all that guide info is more than the national channels.

What would help a lot if the reciever was able to ignore all the guide information that the receive did not subscribe to.
