I tried for many hours to get the music and photos working. I could not get the device to show up in WMP. I tried all of the tricks and nothing. Finally I reset the HR20 and the device showed up in WMP. I'm not sure if it is on the guide but I forgot about this because my hr10-250 was rebooting everyday before I had to pur her down. Good luck.

Does anyone know how to control the speed of the slide show?

No option to do the speed setting, but you can use the FF button to go to the next one.
