My H20 receiver (bought at BB over a year ago) is now resetting itself about 2-3 times every hour. Could this be a heat issue or does it sound like the receiver is turning into a door stop? Since I purchased this receiver and am not 'renting' from DirecTV, anyone have any suggestions should a repair be needed? Thanks.

Do you have a H20-600 or H20-100?
If you have a -600 what software do you have? If you have 0x14f it is a problem with the software. I had the same problem until I downloaded the CE software updates for the -600 and it fixed the problem.
Also you should be able to have DirecTV replace it for you if that is what needs to be done but the replacement will be a lease if you do not have the protection plan and DirecTV will probably make you sign a new contract.

To add to what has already been said, unless you purhcased it prior to Mar 2006, it is indeed a lease. The lease model went into effect Mar1 2006 IIRC. Best bet is to call D* and find out, and check your bill, it tells whether its leased or owned by the billing items on your bill.

I contacted DirecTV and they are shipping a new receiver out. Thanks!
