This week's "Hack" episode just blew me away. I never cry watching TV, but this one really got to me - somewhere deep down inside. It touched me on so many levels I can't even begin to understand it myself.

Personally, the program set the mood for the holidays - giving in small ways can make big diferences in the lives of others. I believe that "what goes around, comes around."

May we all do some good this holiday season.

Nick I felt the same, maybe if we all cared about folks who aren't as lucky as us life could be better for all.

I think everyone will agree that "Hack" starring David Morse was a wonderful show. For some reason, CBS and/or Paramount Pictures refuses to release the drama onto DVD. This is outrageous! There are many newer shows that were on CBS by Paramount that are now on DVD...Why not "Hack"?? There were 40 episodes total (22 the 1st season and 18 the 2nd). What can we do to finally get this wonderful show on DVD? It is bad enough they cancelled this fantastic show...We must find a way! If anyone has any info or ideas, please email me. Thanks, and God Bless! Take care.

My first post about "Hack" was over two years ago. My view of the show changed because, IMO, the latter episodes drifted away from the show's original premise, and this, I believe, is what caused the program to fail.

David Morse is a fine character actor. I hope he soon finds a suitable vehicle to showcase his acting talents, other than playing the infrequent secret service agent.

I'm a fan of Morse as well. He's got some substance to him (not in him). And he doesn't overplay his roles so he's interesting to watch.

An interesting movie with Morse, "Diary of a City Priest" about a real priest here in Philadelphia. A good friend of ours, a nun, worked at his parish for many years.

CBS screwed "Hack" by not renewing it soon enough. IMO, the writers were forced to resolve many first season plot lines in the first season, and the ex-wife and kid left the show (probably because they didn't know if there would be another season!!). One of my wife's students was an extra in the opening scene for one episode, and I was working in a cemetery one morning while they were getting ready to shoot a scene there that afternoon. Just a couple tech guys and the catering truck were around; none of the actors had arrived yet.

If you're familiar with Philadelphia geography, it's interesting to note the first few epsiodes had a lot of made up street names, but most of the season used real names & places in the scenes.

HDNet (or one of the HD package channels) is running episodes regularly.
