Viewsonice codes

I was testing various codes with my Viewsonic N2635w TV and finally found that the first code listed under the Phillips menu worked. I have an HR20-700 system. I hope this helps someone since I was trying to find a code that would work. :hurah:

He said the first code listed. It didn't work for my Viewsonic, so I just went and tried all the Phillips codes. None of them worked.

I found a way to make the remote "scan" all available codes in its database. That didn't work for my Viewsonic either. The rc34 remote just doesn't have the capability because apparently Viewsonic likes to be difficult with their remote codes.

Good thing I still have my Harmony.

If you want to try the scan thing, you may have better luck.

There are 10 viewsonic tv codes in the new rc64 series of remotes.

The rc64 works with Viewsonic N3751W. It will probably work with other previously unsupported Viewsonic models as well.

None of the 10 ViewSonic TV codes in the DirecTV RC64 Universal Remote Users Guide worked for my N2635w ViewSonic LCD TV. However, as mentioned in the original posting above, the first Philips code in the users guide, i.e., 11454, does work with the RC64R for the ViewSonic N2635w LCD TV.

I had already tried every other conceivable method to get the remote to work for the N2635w, including pressing 9911, Power, and pressing the Channel Up key repeatedly for 65 minutes! This forum is great! My thanks to the original post author!
