Good Morning everyone,
Just a "curious" Question,Please

When i do a signal check/strength -now (raining,lightning) signal is 96,(good)

Situation::
On the transponder it is set at #1 and Satellite 101

but then you can,(when cking signal strength) you can ck higher transponders & other Satellites

IF DTV is launching these new Satellite, and as DTV add's or brings these new Satellite'sonline, or switch's us to these new HD CHANNELS,/Satellite's
Question
Shouldn't this MAIN Satellite & transponder change also?

and Hope you & your loved ones have a nice but also [b]SAFE Labor Day weekend
thank you answering my "may sometimes be a dumb questions,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Clato

That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but I'll give it a shot.
When you go to SAT checking, the HD receivers always default to SAT 101. That doesn't mean your last show was parked there, just where the SAT checking starts.

Use your remote and + and - signs on the screen to check the other SATS. Next in line are 110, 119, 99 and 103. Don't panic if either the 99 or 103 is entirely missing. Or there's only a few transponders with signals. That's normal since the current SATs there are "spot" beams.

Last, go to 499 and check your BBC operation. You should get "searching for sat signal" but when you press INFO, see a message that you are connected properly. If you get any other message, let D* know. they will send you a free BBC.

That's it, you are ready for the new HD channels if all goes well.

All of your programming (NBC, ESPN, HBO, FOX, etc, etc) are on various transponders on the various satellites. Your reciever tells the dish's LNB which satellite to get the channel's signal from, so you are already using up to the five sats in space now, located at the 101, 110, 119, 99, and 103 position (assuming you have a slimline 5 lnb dish)(to be exact, there are two others located elsewhere that a very few people need, but lets ignore those for practical purposes). In the next two weeks, another satellite will join the primary 5.
