These are now up on 110w.

450 jadeworld east
451 jadeworld west
452 tvbs
453 chinese movie channel
454 cctv 4

sat 119, although i did call directv and they said there was a charge of $19.99 to receive all but CTV9 channel 455,which is free.. Too bad. Why do they charge so much ? Im surprised Directv does not charge for Nasa tv.

Thats the nature of international channels, usually the international channels offered are some of the top viewed channels in their respective nation of origin. If you thinks thats a lot, check out Dish Int'l channels. TV Japan (that's ONE channel) is $25/month.

Im surprised Directv does not charge for Nasa tv.
Nasa is a public interest channel, along with CCTV9 on 455

On Time Warner cable it cost $14.95. I think the high price is a universal thing, and since ethnic programming is a niche market the price is higher cause there are fewer subscribers.

But isnt Phoenix TV on 119? A chinese subscriber with a 101/119 oval solution would need an upgrade kit right to get the new Chinese channels?

The int channels
JADE JADW TVBS CMOV CCTV4

are located on the DTV 1 sat (110w) which requires a plus dish(18x24) with a sat c lnb.

However CCTV9 is on the 119 sat.
