View Full Version : Direct TV Options
We currently have cable for TV, phone and Internet in our home.
However, I am interested in possibly changing to satellite for a couple reasons.
We tailgate a lot, both collegiate and NFL, so I was thinking of the SAT Go, we also have a second home that we use primarily in the spring and summer.
We use three TVs at home and have two at the second home.
Thanks in advance for your opinions

Those seem like good reasons to seriously consider DirecTV. Do you have any specific questions you want answered here?
Really don't know where to start...
I think this will require two accounts...one for home with the SAT Go attached to it and one for the river. As far as hardware I assume three LNBs here and two there.
Does this make sense.
Or can I have one account and attach all three locations (home, river and SAT Go) to it.

I think you will be happy with your decision to switch. However for your home on the river...
Do you have a good view of the southern sky?
I thought I would ask because if you are living on the river there may be a good chance tree's may be in the way of a satellite signal.
I would think you would get a 5 LNB so you will be ready for the future. Also, I think 5 LNB is standard now.
What kind of receivers are you considering?
What kind of coax do you have installed in your house?
Is there something you want from DIRECTV that your cable company doesn't offer?

It's hard to "tailgate" with cable. I tried once...but the cable snapped on the way to the stadium when this van ran...

My advice ... ask specific questions, and we'll answer the best we can. Then, call 1-800-DIRECTV and see what the best deal you can get.
