AM I doing something wrong HR20-100

Ok I have had 4 recievers go bad in the last 3 months. The latest are my 2 hr20's now have both gone bad. They are both networked and both are bad. Any suggestions?

Did all units crash for the same reason or was it different on each one.?

Well one of the 2 now just won't boot up/ It gets to step 1 of 2 and thats it. The other lost a Tuner and the ethernet port. the first two stopped booting up as well. Both are in well ventalated areas and are connected with the same wire types HDMI. Phone, Cat5 and BBC's and Digital audio. I had a hr20-700 which was flawless for a while and it lost its tuner. Maybe I should relocate them or something.

Have there been any lightning strikes in your area in the same timeframes as the DVR failures?

Try removing the BBCs and pulling the network cable and see if you can get them to boot.

I tried the reboot thing without any other cables hooked to it and it just freezes right there. We had a major storm blow through the other day but I would think they wouldn't even turn on if it was a surge that took them out. Atleast I think. My laptop was plugged in and its fine. Now i called D* yesturday and they are sending 2 more but I keep loosing my recored stuff ( small thing ) so once I get new ones I want to put them in correctly or move them where they will be safe again. Also my xbox 360 works too, and Its on the same network and surge protector as one of my hr20's.

So from your sig line, you have many receivers. Try the problem child at another location and see if it boots there.
You may have a multi-switch problem. What type is it?

The multi switch is the zinwell 6x8 in the attic. I will try a different location tonight. Thats a good idea. Thanks for the thought.
