Replacement HR20 is vastly better

After off-and-on problems with my HR20-100 I finally asked D* for a replacement. Over the weekend I hooked up my refurbished HR20-700 and I have to say that it works much better than the my old HR-100. The Rf remote works like a charm, the menus are much faster and the FF, rewind and other DVR features just work better. I can't believe that I put up with the HR-100 for the past 3 months!

Sounds like you had a bad HR20. The fact that your -700 performs "better" than your -100 is merely related to a working unit vs. a non-working unit. The 100/700 model numbers are merely a coincidence.

Perhaps, but from what I've been hearing the 100's are not real good with the RF remote while the 700's work quite well. Either way I'm happy!

RF barely works on my 100. I need to get it replaced so I can put it out of sight.
