Direct Multi Sat Dish

I am installing a Direct Multi Sat Dish using an Channel Master Dual Signal Meter. Do you hook the C/M meter into the receiver out on the switch or bypass the switch and hook directly to LNB'S

The signal strength meters are normally connected directly to the LNB output and they usually receive their power from the receiver. However, the Channel Master has built in batteries so you do not need to do the receiver connection, it is optional. The meter has the ability to send either 13 or 18 volts to the LNB and test operation of the LNB at both voltages. Once you have completed the alignment of the dish then you can remove the meter and connect the multiswitch and receivers.
