Looks like this was already mentioned in another thread, but the schedule below is new...

Well, this certainly is strange. It looks like CBS will be airing 6 games in HD during Week 3 of the regular season. They are only doing 5 HD games for Week 1 and Week 2 leaving a game or two a week in SD. Not sure why this is or what it means, but it is certainly promising news for the rest of the season.........except for the Browns and Raiders.....

NFL on CBS Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 23

San Diego @ Green Bay, 1:00 p.m. (CBS HD)
Indianapolis @ Houston, 1:00 p.m. (CBS HD)
Miami @ N.Y. Jets, 1:00 p.m. (CBS HD)
Buffalo @ New England, 1:00 p.m. (CBS HD)
Cincinnati @ Seattle, 4:05 p.m. (CBS HD)
Jacksonville @ Denver, 4:05 p.m. (CBS HD)
Cleveland @ Oakland, 4:05 p.m.

Why does CBS still have one game not in HD???? Seems like they could've completed the switch to 100% HD -- you'd think the NFL would demand it.

Could be that they've committed HD equipment to cover some other event. Golf maybe, or something similar.

The NFL agreements do not require 100% of the games to be in HD until the 2009 season. So CBS may still be dragging its feet at this time next year, the 2008 season.
