Just received an email from Amazon that you can now pre-order season 1 of Angel on DVD. In case anybody was interested. Not sure what forum this should go in, so I posted it here. Mods feel free to move it if you want to

I wonder if the price is inline with all the series available. I missed first 2 seasons (and it will probably be another 2 years before it is in syndication). That alone may make my buy it.

I know at Amazon season one of angel is 44.95, and that is the same price for buddy season 2 and 3(which comes out in January). Season 1 of Buffy because it has been out a while is only 29.95. Of course all prices mentioned are from Amazon....probably cheaper some where else

Actually buffy's first season was only a 1/2 season, so I believe that makes it cheaper. I believe that Angel's first season was a full one therefore more expensive? Or logic would assume that?

I picked up Buffy S1 and S2. S1, being a shorter season was $29.95, while S2 is $39.95. Surprisingly, S1 of 24 was also $39.95, but TNG and X Files are $89-99 each.

I can believe 24 was sooo cheap because they wanted people who missed to to possibly pick it up and get hooked for next season and become a viewer (like I did from watching buffy on FX). Perhaps the same thing for Buffy and Angel. While TNG and X-files there is no benefit of someone getting hooked except they would buy more dvds later?

I also think for Star Trek, the people responsible for making the price know that people before were paying like 20 bucks for two episodes....so they would have no problem getting 80 bucks from someone.

And X-Files was much more expensive largely due to the lawsuits filed (and won) against Fox by Duchovny and Anderson.
