Question:
Can I use 2 21 switches in cascade to combine an "American" dish (the term we use for a 110/119 sat) and an "International" dish (61.5 or 148) for a single receiver?
I would use 2 singles lnb's on the Dish 500 for the 110/119 - with a 21 switch to combine them - then a single lnb for the 61.5 Dish 300 - the line from the 21 switch combining tje 110/119 would go to the second 21 switch with the line from the 61.5 and the output to the receiver.
Hope I explained it okay.
The reason I ask is I was told it could be done and tried it but when I did a check switch 110 was missing. I checked everything but could not get 110. I took out the 21's and replaced the singles (which were Legacy's - not that it matters) with DP singles and put in a 34 switch and v'iola - 110 odd/even, 119 odd/even, 61.5 odd/even - or in a nutshell it worked.
Thoughts?
