Well Directv says it will show all of the playoffs in HD. Which means having TBS in HD. Just not when the channel will be available?

I think the most interesting point in that press release is the fact that DirecTV plans on showing all games produced in HD for 2008..this is great news...I wonder what this will mean to those of us who subscribe to MLB Super Fan..will we need Super Fan for HD in 2008?...interesting to follow

From Press Release:
"To date, DIRECTV is the only national multichannel video provider committed to carrying both FOX and TBS's exclusive postseason HD broadcasts."

Is this because only D* has committed to TBS? Aren't the FOX broadcasts simply on the local FOX stations?

Yes...that Fox is just your local Fox network...so their exclusivity must be having TBS in HD ths fall

This is going to bum out a lot of Dish Subscribers. They were hoping that CNN & TBS HD were the other 2 HD channels they would get by the end of September. Since we've seen articles on both stating DirecTV is the only provider with carriage agreements I wonder what Ergen is up to.

Thre is no mention of exclusivity, and Dish could commit tomorrow. All I care about is that when D10 goes live, I'l be getting the playoff games in HD.
