TiVo, the PVR giant that works closely with DirecTV, said it grew its subscriber base to 510,000 during the third quarter.
During the period, TiVo added 46,000 net new subscribers. When compared to the third quarter last year, TiVo's subscriber base has grown more than 80 percent.
On the financial side, the company said service and technology revenue for the quarter grew 139 percent to $12.7 million, compared to $5.3 million for the same period last year. TiVo's net loss for the quarter improved to $11.5 million, compared a loss of $34.5 million reported in the third quarter last year. Operating cash usage for the quarter, as measured by adjusted EBITDA, was $4.6 million.
